Length

Floor-length chiffon works at beach venues with a hard walking surface — patio, boardwalk, or lawn above the waterline. If bridesmaids will actually walk on sand or get close to the water, a midi or cocktail length is more practical. Chiffon that drags on wet sand is a liability for the whole afternoon.

Color

Soft coastal palettes suit beach light best: Mist, Sky Blue, Larkspur Blue, and Seagrass all read as coastal rather than formal. Champagne and Dusty Rose work as warmer alternatives.
