How to make a felt bouquet for your wedding

What happened to summer? It's only early September but as I write this the wind and rain are literally lashing the windows. It's not great weather to be outside. At All.

On the plus side, that means you can stay dry and cosy at home and get on with some serious wedding planning (create a moodboard maybe?) and wedding DIY stuff.

So I've been looking out for some projects for your wedding day that you can make yourself.

First on the list is this glorious felt bouquet, discovered on The Bride's Cafe Blog.

It's quirky, colourful and will be a memory of your wedding day forever. I also think you're going to have a lot of fun making it. (You don't need anything complicated or hard to source - just felt squares, floral wire, green floral tape, a needle and thread, scissors and a pencil. Obviously, you could also use the flowers as decoration for your tables and reception venue. Or you could carry real flowers yourself and give felt flower bouquets to your young bridesmaids and flowergirls (and they can keep them afterwards as a souvenir).

Colours? Entirely up to you. I'm thinking that brights work well with felt - lime green, purple, hot pink and yellows. Felt is one of those fabrics that is available in a rainbow of shades and you can buy it in sheets online or in craft shops. Here are some felt colours to get you thinking ...
