The light is different at certain times of year and in different places.

Summer suits pastels and bright colours - but not deep tones. Deep tones can look too heavy.

Likewise in winter pastels look too lightweight and bright oranges and turquise brights too much.

So what does the well dressed winter bride choose? Think snowy days, glowing sun, warm red berries, shiny evergreen leaves.

Wrap up in cosy red pasminas, keep toes snug in furry boots. Serve mulled wine at your wedding reception.

Keep your bridesmaids in the style in dark green gowns or fiery red frocks. (Dark colours work well at a winter evening wedding.)

We've started this styleboard to get you thinking ... but you can make your own.
