5 Things to Do Before the Wedding Reception Ends

The wedding day can move pretty fast, so it's so easy to miss a few things as you try to enjoy one of the most important days of your life. We thought we would offer some tips so that you don't miss a thing before the wedding reception is over.

Eat the Food – This is a given, but you would be surprised how many brides and grooms don't actually eat the food at their own wedding. So many times couples are too busy talking to guests, dancing, taking photographs that when it comes time to eat, they simply don't. Make sure that while your guests are eating, you are eating too.

Take all necessary photos – If you're planning to do photographs with family members, make sure to set time aside for this during the earlier part of the reception. Have your photographer work it out so you can get this done all in one shot. It is so easy to get caught up in the hoopla of your wedding reception and forget to do this.

Pay your vendors - If there are still vendors that need to be paid, or tips that need to be given to the wait staff at your reception, it is probably a good idea to do this after the evening is over and guests have start to leave.

Talk to guests - For big weddings talking to your guests is hard, especially when everyone wants a few minutes to gush over the happy couple. One way to talk to guests during the reception is being present during the cocktail hour if you're having one. That way when the reception is actually going on, you can enjoy time with your new husband or wife. If you're a couple that would prefer to go table to table to talk to your guests, a good time would be in between the courses.

Dance, dance dance! - Dance the night away and enjoy yourself! Don't forget this night is about the two of you and not anyone else, so make sure you are enjoying your wedding and taking in all the important moments of the day, because it will be over before you know it!
